Text ads that works.

If you are a webmaster who is disillusioned with text ads, you can try this text ads from http://www.streetdirectory.com/textads/

What I like about them is that they offer real traffic. Not the pagerank nonsense every other webmaster is trying to sell me. I bought 500 pages of text ads at USD$3 per page from this lady call Melanie. Only thing is, they need a minimum buy of about 3 months. So far, after looking at the traffic for 3 months, i extended my contract with them for another 3 months. I had a total of about 20,000 UV in the last 3 months from just one site alone. Quite decent considering that these are text ads and my expectations are not very high.

If there are anyone out there who is selling text ads with real traffic, pls do let me know. I am keen. Pls dont spam my email.

SendSMS.com.sg >> The Ideal SMS Marketing Platform

I recently took up a service from Streetdirectory.com on their SMS Marketing which I believe they call it instant blast. Initially I was quite hesitant and I am not sure what the reaction will be.

Anyway, the sales guy Marcus was very convincing, so I went ahead and took their basic plan of 10,000 Messages. I was surprised to learn that streetdirectory.com could break the data many forms such as area e.g if I want to target people staying in bedok or Bukit Timah or if I want to target by demographics e.g by Age, Income, Designations etc.

I eventually settled with the basic plan; untargetted sms to 10,000 users.

I was surpised to learn after 2 days, that i have gotten myself 30 new customers. I earned almost 10 times what I had spend on the SMS Blast. Never thought that SMS can be so effective. I am definitey going to shift more money to SMS. ts really effective.

You can try calling Marcus from Streetdirectory.com or visit www.sendsms.com.sg if you need help. Good luck

Thoughts are Things

Thoughts are Things

1. Thoughts are things! It becomes extremely powerful when its mixed with definiteness of purpose, persistenceand a burning desire to acheive the material objects.

2. When a man really desires a thing so deeply that he is willing to stake his entire future on a single turn of wheel in order to get it, he is sure to win.

3. When one is truly ready for a thing, it puts in its appearance.

4. Opportunity : It has a sly habbit of slipping in by the back door, often disguised in a form of temporary failure/defeat or misfortune. That is why so many fail to recognise opportunity.

5. Habit of Quitting : One of the most common causes of failure is the habit of quitting when one is overtaken by temporary defeat. Every person is quilty of this mistake at one time or another.

6. One sound idea is all it takes : When richness begin to come they come so quickly, in such great abundance, that one wanders where they have been hiding during all these years.

7. Success : Success comes to those who are success conscious. Failure comes to those who are failure conscious.

8. You are the master of your fate : Our brains become magnetised with the dominating thoughts which we hold in our minds. These magnets then attracts us to to the forces, the people, the circumstances of life which harmonize with the nature of our thoughts.

FAILURES TEACH US ABOUT PROCESS

  • Thomas Edison tried over 9,000 designs before he created a working light bulb. A young reporter asked him how he felt after having failed 9,000 times. Edison replied, 'I didn't fail - I just learned 9,000 ways not to make a light bulb.'

Failure is often a clue to redirect our efforts in a different direction, and to follow a different set of plans. How many times have we learned how not to sell a product, how not to get a new job, or how not to judge a future mate? If a series of failures leads us to open our minds to new knowledge or information, or gives us the willingness to try different behaviors, then we haven't failed, we've learned how to create different results.

FAILURES TEACH US ABOUT OURSELVES

During the '40s, a young Jewish boy chose to forego academia in order to pursue his dream of becoming another Benny Goodman. Against his parents' wishes, he began playing in a jazz band.

His musical talents were less than sterling, and soon he realized he was just another musician teetering on the brink of unemployment. Unlike many of his fellow musicians, he was able to manage the income he had, so those periods of unemployment weren't nearly as devastating for him as they were for others.

His musical colleagues recognized his talent for money management, and soon they had hired him to manage their finances - for a fee. This caused the young man to rethink his career goals, and changed the course of his life.

This failure's name is Alan Greenspan, Federal Reserve Chairman, who has been credited with performing an economic impossibility - sustaining long term economic growth without stimulating inflation. His failure taught him that money, rather than music, was his forté, and we have all benefitted from that epiphany.

There is a saying that to teach a snake his shape, put him in a box. Our failures can be the box that teaches us our shape, and helps us to ascertain how our talents, personality, and learning ability coalesce to form the unique creation we are, and help us to fulfill our destiny and purpose.

FAILURES CAN HELP PUT THINGS INTO PERSPECTIVE

'Be careful what you ask for, because you just might get it.' How many times have we pursued a goal we thought was important, only to find it didn't bring us the rewards we expected? Have we succeeded or failed in our attempt? Billionaire J. Paul Getty blew through five wives and is alienated from his childreen. Is he a success or a failure?

Our failures highlight our values, and help us to define what is important in our lives. The man who puts family first will probably not have a skyrocketing career, but can certainly be a successful husband and father. The woman who thrives on a high-powered career requiring 80+ hour weeks will undoubtedly be a financial success, but may have to forego success in the relationship department. One truism in life is that we can have everything we want in life, just not all at the same time. Our failures may help us choose in what area we would like to have success so we can focus our time, effort and energy on that area, and we happily let the rest go to the sidelines.

One of the greatest gifts of failure is the knowledge that failure is never final, unless we choose to give up. Discovering that we can turn our lives around, choose a different path, or embracea new idea at any age or in any set of circumstances is liberating for the soul, can motivate us to seek the wisdom and experience of others who have had different experiences, and can provide the momentum we need to propel us to successes beyond our imaginings. How to be romantic

No one is born romantic. But like most things in life, being romantic is something that can be learned. Although romantic gestures may seem like they come easily to some people that is only because they?ve had lots of practice and because they are in tune with what motivates the opposite sex. Because that?s all that is involved. Being romantic involves finding out what your partner wants (not what they need!), and then finding a unique way to meet those wants. Pretty simple, huh?

Let?s get one thing cleared up first. Being romantic isn?t about some grand extravagant gesture like flying first class to Paris for a 2 week romantic blitz. It?s about the little things. Little things are simple things that you do for your loved one. Despite the fact that they are "little" they can mean a lot because it illustrates that you took time out of your busy life just to show them how much you care.
